'The Flash' Season 4: Wedding Bells For Barry Allen and Iris West

Barry Allen and Iris West have been a couple for a relatively short time in “The Flash.” They started off as awkward, in denial lovers, but now it’s confirmed that they will be married in Season 4.
The Arrowverse will soon make its return on The CW and will find its league of heroes struggling to fit in with the new normal. In Central City, Team Flash will have to deal with Barry’s (short) absence, as well as face the new villain, The Thinker. To effectively deal with this, the team will have to get some help from a new hero, Elongated Man and Felicity Smoak (who’s set to make her return as a guest star in “The Flash” too).
Now, it’s no secret that Barry will indeed return from being trapped in the Speed Force. “The Flash” Season 4 will see him a changed person, and that it will also be a lighter show compared to the dark themes it had the previous season. That being said, fans who wanted to see more of Barry and Iris’ romance are in for a treat. Once Barry returns, it will be for the good of his relationship with Iris.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg talked about the future of Barry and Iris’ relationship and confirmed that the pair would indeed tie the knot. They are finally going to get married this season and then it’s going to be: Can they stay married with everything that’s coming up against them?” Kreisberg said.
However, just because Barry and Iris will get married, that doesn’t guarantee that everything will be happy ever after. After all, Barry is “The Flash,” and he won’t be going through the show without enemies along the way and relationship trials too. Sure, this isn’t a promise of a more stable and happy relationship like that of Alex and Maggie’s in “Supergirl,” but at least “The Flash” Season 4 will have a lighter tone all throughout.
“The Flash” returns Tuesday, October 10 at 8 PM on The CW.
