New 'Black Mirror' Trailer features Jodie Foster-directed Episode on 'Good Parenting'

Netflix’s “Black Mirror” is well-known to be a straight-in-your-face sci-fi TV shocker ever since it first hit the airwaves in 2013. When it finally moved to Netflix in 2016, the show amped up its dark themes even more, with fan-favorite episodes such as “Shut Up and Dance,” and the surprisingly lighter-toned “San Junipero” (which, by the way, might have a possible sequel!).
A new trailer for one of “Black Mirror” Season 4’s episodes has just been released, and it’s all about controlled, er, ‘good parenting.’ Titled, “Arkangel,” it’s the first episode of the new season, and is directed by Jodie Foster. Check it out in all it’s dark glory below:

Yep, if you don’t like overprotective and possessive parents, well this is where it all comes true. “Arkangel” follows the story of a mother (played by La La Land’s Rosemarie DeWitt) who’s worried about the safety of her young girl. When she seemingly gets lost in the playground, she panics and ultimately finds out that her daughter is safe. This leads to her trying out an experimental piece of technology that allows her to “control” her child so she can always be safe.
But of course, as with every “Black Mirror” episode, things only seem good at first but then builds up to a horrific climax. The trailer looks absolutely stunning, and with Foster at the helm, it’s going to be an amazing—but definitely creepy episode.
