Dollface Returns in New Trailer for Second Season

After 2 Broke Girls and a small stint in WandaVision, Kat Dennings once again found herself as the lead for Hulu’s Dollface. The show had premiered back in 2019, and one pandemic later, we have a new trailer for the second season.

Watch this:

With the first season following Jules as she tries to reconnect with her female friends, it looks like the second season is going to deal with Jules and her friend group coping with turning 30. With so many expectations Millenials put on themselves for that age, from their financial status to their relationships, it’s going to be interesting to see what kind of shenanigans the girls are going to get into with the second season.

Since the hiatus took place because of the pandemic, it also looks like the show is going to address how characters had handled more than a year of quarantine. Though we don’t really see anyone in masks, we do have some hints at Madison talking to Jules about how they spent the last parts of their youth ‘stuck inside’. Though I don’t expect the pandemic to have a major presence in the show, it does provide some interesting story opportunities like how dating has changed; the thing with Jules collecting houseplants could be one whole episode.

Here’s the series synopsis:

After breaking up with her longtime boyfriend, a woman tries to reconnect with the friends she lost during the relationship.

Catch Dollface 2 when it comes back to Hulu on Feb. 11.
