'Love, Simon' Disney+ Series Finds Lead in Michael Cimino

For a while after its release, Love, Simon was all everybody could talk about. And now, the much-anticipated series adaptation has found its lead actor in Annabelle Comes Home star, Michael Cimino.

Cimino will be leading the cast as Victor, a newbie at Creekwood High School. The series follows his own journey of self-discovery as he’s facing challenges at home, adjusting to a new city, and struggling with his sexuality. When it all seems too much, he reaches out to Simon to help him navigate high school.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ana Ortiz will be joining Cimino as his on-screen mother, Isabel. With them are James Martinez as Victor’s dad Armando, Isabella Ferreira as Victor’s sullen younger sister, and Mateo Fernandez as Victor’s little brother. Johnny Sequoyah will be taking on the role of Victor’s witty friend Mia, Anthony Turpel will be acting as Victor’s lanky awkward neighbor Felix, and George Sear will be acting as Victor’s charming and confident classmate Benji. Other actors joining the cast are Bebe Wood as Lake, Mia’s best friend, and Mason Gooding as Creekwood’s cocky jock Andrew.

Love, Simon original star Nick Robinson will still be playing a role in the series. This time, he’s on board as producer and narrator of the show.
