Mark Hamill Appears As Talus In ‘Knightfall’ Season 2 Teaser

Mark Hamill has descended from space and went back to the medieval times. The Star Wars actor will debut as Talus, a Knight Templar veteran of the Crusades who survived a decade of imprisonment in the Holy Land, as shown in the first teaser for the Season 2 of History’s Knightfall. Hamill’s character will also take on the new initiates of the Order and train them.

According to Deadline, the new season will unveil the relationship between Talus and Landry (Tom Cullen) where the initiate master having a moral conflict about the latter.  Landry was left devastated yet still hopeful in the events of the last season. In the teaser, the sword stands as the symbol that unites and divides the Knights Templar and as it becomes engulfed in flames, it acts as a foreshadow for the events leading to the Friday the 13th.

Knightfall recounts the dark Medieval period in the perspective of the Templar. The historical fiction drama series goes deep into the clandestine world of the Knights Templar, a mysterious military order of the Middle Ages comprising of warrior monks who were entrusted to protect Christianity’s most precious relics. With politics, warfare, and intrigue, the show delves on the legendary brotherhood to learn the lives of the knights.

In addition to Hamill’s casting, Aaron Helbing (The Flash, Spartacus: War of the Damned) leads Knightfall as the Season 2 showrunner and executive producer. Also joining the cast for the show’s second season are Tom Forbes (The Bastard Executioner, Wolf Hall) and Genevieve Gaunt (The Royals).

The short teaser only teased their fans with only a “coming soon” connotation at the end. No release date has been announced so far. However, some unofficial speculations believe that the second season of Knightfall is gearing for a spring release.
